Collect

Nebraska FCE Club Creed
As family and community educators of these United States, we will strive to promote a better way of life for all through fellowship, continuing education and service: to provide guidance in our homes and communities for the uniting of people to make the world a better place in which to live.

May we have pride in our role as homemakers and may our hearts be filled with joy as we serve.

Let us always be conscious of the needs of others, and be strengthened by the "Divine Light" that guides us all.

2002 Adams County FCE Club and Council Goals
Literacy

Goal I Become more visible in helping with the Adams County Spelling Contest.

Goal II To implement the creative writing contest is ALL FIFTH GRADE classrooms in Adams County, as well as Doniphan-Trumbull. The theme is entitled, "Where in Nebraska I would like to visit." The essay should be 200-250 words due March 22, 2002.

Goal III Each Adams County FCE Club will do one book report during the year 2002, this book report can be given either by an FCE Club Member or a special guest. Goal IV FCE Clubs will collect used children's books and distribute them at the Adams County Fair on Kids Day.

Promotion of Family and Community Education with Emphasis on Families

Goal I Possible activities for promotion:
Billboard
Ads featuring Family topics - quarterly
TV Spots
Radio Spots
Placemats for restaurants
Table tents
Monthly news articles on the society page featuring the leader-training lesson of the month
Float in the parade
Christmas tree at the Museum

Goal II To provide promotional materials such as FCE hats or aprons to food booth workers at the Adams County Fair, or other promotional gift to the Adams County FCE members.

Goal III Spring Tea invited speaker will deal with Family Strengths.

Goal IV Interaction amongst clubs Start to Implement Emphasis on Community Awareness Goal I Increase awareness of community businesses and organizations in 2003.
